Event Description:
Starting and finishing in Torquay, the 145km Classic Ride is the original ride of the Great Ocean & Otway Classic. After departing Torquay riders will roll through beautiful inland parts of the Surf Coast Shire for 74km, before they hit the 12km Benwerrin King/Queen of the Mountain +291m climbing segment. Beyond this climb, riders can refuel in Lorne before heading towards Torquay while enjoying 50km of the Great Ocean Road.
This ride is designed for a moderately experienced rider as it has some challenging hill climbs and some quick descents. If you’re up for the challenge you will be well supported by five aid stations. Once finished, enjoy some food and beverages at the Finish Village in Torquay!
